I've just had my SDHC card go tits up on me !

was taking a few shots today with my new D90 and it stopped writing to the card and wouldn't store any images

then I had a message appear on the screen telling me to stop using the card has it might be damaged

the card is nearly new , its a Kingston 4gb SDHC

is this just one of them things or could there be compatibility issues ?

thanks

ive not heard good things about kingston.. but did you acutally format the card on you D90 before taking the pictures?

yes , it was the first thing i did when i got the new camera

lt was fine on my D60 , been using it on the D90 for a week without problems

I reckon I am lucky it gone now as apposed to when I'm on holiday and its full of holiday shots

looks like its time to order a new one

this is worrying...........
i have ditto Class 6 from GoMemory...what class is yours?

i see they no longer stock Class 6, now only Class 4

occasionally it wont read when plugged into the card slot in my Epson SX205 printer - but i put that down to the printer.....

now - maybe not..............

i've not heard good things about Kingston..

I picked Kingston on name only from GoMemory as i read [on eBay] all 2GB Sandisk cards on eBay were fakes

can you recommend a quality make ? thanks

guess i just got a duff one

I've only ever used Sandisk Extreme III's (30mb/s edition) from both Amazon (class 6) and MyMemory (class 10) and never had a problem. That's not to say they are the best, I'm sure there's always a bad batch in anything out there.
