SDHC Video Card - Can it store photos?

Looking to buy the Mrs a Panasonic FS30 for her birthday and need to get a memory card.

Although I am not 100% sure, I would have thought that am SDHC Video card would also store photos. (Seems a bit of a dumb question to me, but want to be sure)

Please can someone confirm this?
 
SDHC cards, and indeed any form of data storage, can store any type of data given an appropriate means to write and read said data. So yes :)
 
Hi Gary,

My prime memory card is an 8GB SanDisk VideoHD SDHC video card - no problems storing photo files on it :D
 
If you buy a card reader/writer off eBay and SDHC isn't mentioned, you'll probably be fobbed off with unsuitable old stock. If you're still using Win98 the reader would need a driver.

As far as a reader is concerned, my PC has one, so no worries there.

Is your reader marked SD HC?

Many readers that come with PC's will not read the larger SD cards.
