Sea Home screen

Sat watching TV the other night a chap had on his large PC screen an animated sea's with the waves rolling in as his desktop home screen and I must say it looked great

after doing a google search I cannot seem to find it
does anyone know how I can get such a background for my PC
probably simple but I cant find anything about it at all

I am running windows 7 64bit on a 26" flatcreen monitor

what you want are "dreamscenes" which are basically animated wallpapers

was only available in the ultimate version of vista, might be the same with 7

In Windows 7, DreamScene has been replaced by a "Desktop Slideshow" feature which produces slideshow background wallpapers, but does not support videos. The Windows Vista DreamScene DLL can be registered on Windows 7 to make it work, as hacks circulating on the internet describe.

I know how to set the slide show running but for the life of me cannot see how to get any kind of animation running on the desktop home screen
does windows 7 Ultimate official copy support this???

I guess the machine I saw on TV must of been a Mac then

as above, you cant without "hacking" on windows 7 is was only officially on vista ultimate edition.

to be honest i dont know a single person that used it so thats probably why it got dropped. its a bit pointless unless you stare at your desktop all the time
