Taking some inspiration from BiNg I decided to put my new SB600, low light and a reflector to use.

#2 I suspect the focus need to be on the petal just above the centre of the flower
as the OOF petals there spoil it (for me)

Indeed DOF/focus is slightly out, these are only my first attempts of a small project set I will be doing. it's mainly a proof of concept shoot more than anything, but thanks very much for the feedback, always appreciated

Nice shots, I think #1 would be a little better if you moved in closer to concentrate on the stamen or back a little to get in the whole flower. Just a minor point though.
