nice colours and composition, not sure what it is though but it might seem a bit soft around the edges?

What settings were you using?

8 seconds?!

any reasons why you used that length of time? in that time any tiny movement in the flower will have caused the soft edges.

depending on light you could have used anything from 1/40 to 1/125 (ish)
 
What ISO was it on?

8 seconds is a long time, very suprises it didn't over expose the full pic, is your office in a darkroom? Lol
