Am new to this site and my photography is still a passion in my mind, if not necessarily in the results
I recently sold up all my Nikon kit and made, in essence, a straight swap for the Leica. I found i was shooting from 21 to 100mm focul lengths and was getting tired of the DSLR bulk. Am enjoying the rangefinder experience a lot, but occasionally a longer lens would be nice, and i do mean occasionally. Am thinking holidays, out walking etc.
Next year i will consider adding a second camera, but do have a few conditions - it must be small and light, give 200mm to 300mm, have VR, offer RAW, as waterproof as possible, have a viewfinder and turn out great colours.
I have managed to have a go with the Nikon V1 (fantastic colours) and the Samsung NX11, both have impressed. These are both interchangeable lens cameras but that is not a necessity for me.
A Canon G9 also spring to mind as one to try - any others out there i should be taking a look at? I know little about bridge cameras, so any advice there would be much appreciated. In the end it will be a compromise on cost, size and performance, but don't want to miss one out of my trials.
