Second hand DSLRs

I have never brought new, always from e-bay, need to check their feedback and make sure they have 100%.

I have saved pounds this way but don't rush in if you went down this route. Take your time and watch.

Yes. I'm considering it as an option to get a high end camera for cheaper. I imagine it certainly does take a lot of though. I'd hate to end up with a broken camera.

Me and my mate have both used mpbphotographic and they are briliant, i bought a 20d and it looked new, had a bit of paint missing of the hotshoe but have to look really closely to be able to see it.

Thank you very much for these links. I'll look at them all in depth when I get home. However, I've looked at the Aperture one and found some great deals. Does anyone have any experience with these and if the ones marked exc+++ really are that?

Used Aperture in the past, very good, also have a very nice little shop :)

I am a happy MPB Customer for lenses - have only bought once from here and so far it has been an easy and straight forward experience and I got exactly what I was expecting :)

Another vote for Aperture UK - used them in the past with no problems.

Park Cameras can sometimes have a fair bit of gear in, often more than they list on their website.

Another one would be Harrison's Cameras in Sheffield.

As long as you know how to check over equipment properly, Cex can be a real bargain. Also, the company owned stores (i.e. non-franchise) generally authorize their management to give up to 5% goodwill discounts for cash purchases. I got my 5DmkII with grip and two original batteries from the Leeds store in fantastic condition for £1197 due to the fact that the person who 'tested' it didn't know that the original battery cover is stored in the grip. Add to that the 24-105 (dated 2010) in perfect condition for £617.50 and I was more than happy with the deal I got! Just goes to show that a little staff ignorance can mean a real bargain!
