Okay so on the 27th July I have my second ever wedding althought, this time ibwont be on my own, I will be helping out my friend at the actual wedding but I will be covering the groom before hand on my own any tips for this part?? My friend just said be yourself lol

Go back and re-read your critique threads, you were given a fair bit of good advice on your last wedding thread if I remember rightly, relax, be yourself and try to capture those moments your friend can't. All the details you can capture with a bride you can capture with the groom and his groomsmen

To loosely quote Mark Cleghorn on one of his videos - "be a sniper"

Have read it and will read then again closer to the time, was wantih more on the groom coverig pärt but when you out it as be a sniper all my years of quick scoping on COD will come in handy aha

I've not done the groom aspect but what I have seen is things like fastening the tie/cravat/cufflinks etc, lads together smoking a cigar, walking up to the venue, having a quick drink to steady the nerves, the kind of things that show that it is his day as well as hers

Great friend? Is this the only advice she gave?
My advice get some practice in NOW with a few mates as models.

Good Luck girl!

Hayley......chill, like above I'm sure if you re read your old wedding thread, watch your backgrounds, expose well, try and be creative where possible I'm sure you will be brilliant and get some great shots to make your "professional" friend jealous and happy you helped.

Good luck and I can't wait to see what you produce.

Matt

right she is a professional and has seen all my work from the start so she must see potential right to ask me to do it,

OK, use AV (AP), low f-stop number to blur background, higher, say f5.6 - f8 for tiered group shots. Fill-flash out doors, may want to use FEC. Use bounced flash indoors, with a bouncecard if ness. (e.g. Lightsphere, but homemade and cheap examples can be found on the net.)
Always keep an eye on shutter speed (adjust ISO if needed) and ckeck histogram/blinkies in every situation. Yes very basic advice, but gives you an idea of something to read about and practice with.

EDIT: Seek MORE HELPFUL advice from the pro you are shooting for!!!
