Security Marking your equipment

Just read a thread, whereby a fellow TP'ers house got burgled and most equipment nicked :shake::thumbsdown:

I don't have alot of expensive stuff, but just wanted to know, whats the best way to mark your equipment, so that it can be recognised if stolen+recovered.....

Smartwater (as the loser had done) is very good for when the equipment is found, it has a unique DNA which links it to the owner - as long as the check is made!

An Ultraviolet marker pen with your postcode and house number is what Insurance companies used to recommend for your valuables. Alos make a note if serial numbers

Not used them but was recommended Smartwater or SelectaDNA by a crime prevention officer, who also suggested registering all your items on Immobilise so that if recovered, Police can find the owner easily.
