Sell one like this Samyang 500mm f/6.3 Mirror Telephoto Lens

Hi Guys,

Has anyone ever used or experimented with the Samyang 500mm f/6.3 Mirror Telephoto Lens?

If so whats the vedict? Or is the price a clear indication to stay away?

Plenty of info on here about those but to sum it up, don't waste your money.

Thanks for the reply... I thought the price was a bit suspect. Although was thinking that the 8mm Samyang is so good, maybe it would have been decent.

Some time ago a member posted up some photos from one of these and they were really very good - the f6.3 is better than the usual f8 for 500mm mirror lenses and if you don't mind the doughnut bokeh then it's an economical option.

I had one, it was OK, but like any prime lens at that focal length you are limited, I have a Sigma 400mm F5.6, its great but not very practical, if you can get one it may be a fun lens to have but I wouldn't use it on anything to important, I have the Samyang 8mm coming this week, so will write a post here with sample photos.
