So atm I have the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 non-VC lens and whilst it's a great lens, there have been times where I've wanted wider, or faster.
I've already convinced myself that I'll be buying the Sigma 30mm 1.4 sometime in the next few months, funds permitted, so I'll have a FL of 30mm (48mm FF equivalent) regardless of what I decide to do.
But I was possibily thinking about selling the Tamron and buying the Tokina 12-24mm. I don't think the gap in the 24-30mm range will bother me too much. And I think I'll be using the 30mm 1.4 as a general walkabout lens as I think it's wide enough to be one.
I have the 55-250mm also, but hoping to get rid of that and get the Sigma 70-200 2.8, so I'll have quite a large gap from 30-70mm.
I'm not really sure what kind of advice I'm asking for but does anyone else have a similar setup?
I was thinking that the extra sharpness with the 30mm I can just crop? Would the photo quality of the 30mm cropped to 50mm be better or worse than the Tamron at 50mm?
