I have inherited a few fine art military prints one of which is by and signed by David Shepherd.

Its a large print 3 foot by 2 foot approx. entitled "Winter of 43, somewhere in England", and in its original frame and mint condition.

I have no room for it so looking to sell it, but don't know where.

Any ideas welcome.

Thanks

Any auction houses locally you might ask about sellng?

There are a couple but was looking for specialist military art dealers, that type of thing.

I will give them a call though.

Thanks

Well there ya go. That's my little bit of trivia learned for today. Of course I was well aware of David Shepherd's superb wildlife artistry, but I had no idea he did military paintings too. Outstanding. :)

Shepherd has done loads of aircraft paintings, just about every mess I was in during my 30 years in the RAF had at least one of his somewhere. A friend of mine is into steam trains and he has a Shepherd of some train or other as he did a lot of them too, he also owns several steam trains, one here and several in South Africa!. A very prolific artist.
