Sending camera off for check up/clean

So the 7D has had a blasting so far this year and with a few more events to go.

When everything start to quite down for the winter i am looking at sending my 7D of for a well deserved clean and check up. Just from events i have shot this year i am on roughly 20,000 plus shots and then general use and timelapses means another thousand odd on top of that as well. The view finder is a bit of a mess so i wouldn't that cleaned up, sensor isn't to bad though.

So can anyone recommend a place to send it from past experience with a good turn around..? And also rough price for this..?

I've used Canon's own Service Center several times for repairs, and have had excellent service from them . ( Helps being a CPS member). Most of their service options are covered by standard charges. Give them a ring an get prices

Off topic, but thanks for the link Stewart/John, I didnt know about that service and have qualified for Gold, which is pretty good considering its free. :thumbs:
 
I have gold membership, the repair time is meant to be 3 days, so far it has taken 5 days and they haven't even started it and it's only a new mirror :(

Fantastic service and communication by Canon Elstree, highly recommended!
 
I've used Canon at Elstree a few times now and always found the service to be good with CPS Gold. In fact I took my 7D and 100-400 in last Wednesday and received a notification just moments ago (yes, Saturday morning at 08:23 :thinking: ) that the repair is complete and it will be shipped out on Monday for Tuesday delivery.
