Yes
My D7K needed a clean after 15000 odd shots and 18 months of lens changing. Heartily recommend Fixation in Vauxhall for a drop in while you wait clean. Sparkling sensor now :-)

Or do it yourself.

Buy that, and the cleaner and pads recommended at the bottom of the page.

Easy. Just make sure you use the correct setting in the menu to open the shutter, and not just use "B" and you;'l be fine so long as you have a freshly charged battery.

Totally agree about doing it yourself. The first time you do it its a little nerve wracking ( I decided to practice on works camera first....). But its really not difficult at all, and doesn't take long.

Very easy to do yourself. My tool of choice is a SensorKlear from LensPen. I bought several from (IIRC) 7dayshop a few years ago and still have a couple left - I treat them as a single use item for sensor cleaning then relegate them to lens/filter duties or rear screen/phone/specs. I've tried one of the wet cleaning systems and managed to smear the oil droplets all over the sensor, giving me the impression that I had scratched the low pass filter. A later clean with the SensorKlear disposed of the smears instantly. (Phew!!!)
