Beginner sensor clean

Get used to sensor cleaning because it's a way of life and nowhere near as scary as you first think. Be meticulous about changing lenses ie not in a dusty place etc. A rocket blower should remove much loose dust followed by a charged brush such and only asw a last resort use wet cleaning wth sterile swabs and cleaning fluid.

For routine cleaning I recommend using a sensor loupe with lights to illuminate and see the dust clearly http://m.ebay.com/itm/281817725123 then turn it upside down and blast carefully with the rocket blower. For more stubborn dust I would take in to your local shop.

My sensor became really dirty a month or two back, so I had to resort to cleaning it for the first time. I tried a decent air blower first, but that didn't remove the worst contamination, so I bought some Visible Dust swabs and cleaning fluid to match my sensor size. While I was pretty nervous about the thought of damaging my camera, I researched the process on Youtube until I felt confident in what I needed to do, and the whole process went smoothly and the offending marks were removed from the sensor. I certainly won't be particularly nervous the next time I have to do it.

there are a few online tutorials - it is quite easy - just take your time and take care

I've always done mine - f32 against a wall - slight dust Rocket blower - wet cleaning if worse

nothing to fear

I've always cleaned my own too. If the rocket blower doesn't remove it then I do a wet clean. Watch a YouTube tutorial really useful.

Been using one of these for a few years now. I clean gently and regularly to ensure the sensor never gets too dirty.
It picks up dust very quickly and easily without the need for solutions and the potential of smearing.

Just don't by copies and be careful of fakes or you may take the coating off your sensor.
