Hey guys Im after some cheapish Sensor cleaning gear, i have a Canon 550D and i noticed a few spec's of something on my images and they appear to be on the same spot in every photo even with different lenses, more visible on sky shots.I took the camera to jessops today and i was told that they would have to send it away for cleaning as they didn't have anyone in the shop that could do it and it would take up to 6 weeks to get it back, altough the girl did try to blow the dust off the sensor without locking the mirror! so no surprise that didn't work.
Ive just ordered a GIOTTO blower from amazon but need some advice on the wands or a cleaning kit of some sort....not too expensive....
 
Get the visible dust green swabs. Always worked well for me. You can get a pack of 4 with a small bottle of fluid for not too much money.
 
Whatever you do DON'T use cotton buds you will never get rid of the wool hairs. See if you can get hold of a Loupe to see the sensor, one of the most important bits of kit for cleaning sensors. Apart from wipes I find corner swabs very useful as well.

Thank you for the advice I ordered and just recived the green visible dust swabs, I will give it a clean later although I used my dust blower yesterday and it got rid of 98% of the dust...
 
Dont be tempted to put more than a single drip or two of fluid on the swab...It is more than sufficient to do the job...If you do, you may end up with more smears to remove.
