Sensor Cleaning

ok so my sensor is horrible, not been cleaned in 2 years and it looks like its been left without a lens on for decades...

been looking and i cant send it off as i need it every day, so ive found Dale Photographic in Leeds, anyone had any experiences with them, good or bad, as there's no point in me trying to do it myself for $37...

I had one done once at Harrisons in Sheffield, but I guess thats a little further out of your way.

ahh thanks for the replies people, will give Dale a call later this week to see how long it will take (unless you knowledgable people know)...

one of my lenses died last night my 18-125 walk about lens, now this is good on one level as it means i should get a 24-70, however the price and availability of a 24-70 is lacking XD

gave them a call today and they want the camera body for a week... damnit... looks like im leaving it till it gives up now...

Man up and do it yourself! There's a load of info here on how to do it. I bought some swabs and did a 30D I had, piece of cake. Next time I'll make my own, as shown HERE.

Something like an Artic Butterfly is very easy to use and costs only a little more than the cost of a single clean from someone like Dale Photographic

The longer the crud is left on the more stubborn it can be to remove when the sensor is finally cleaned.
