servicing a Minolta Af lens

I recently got a couple of lenses and one of which was a 24mm F2.8 Minolta AF fitment.
The blades dont snap closed so well, and there is a little oil on the blade, so will need serviced.

As its a fixed lens can i give this a go myself?

any good tutorials?
 
seen that post my self, but wasnt sure if it was that "straightforward"
sometimes i have a tendancy to start with the best intentions and it just doesnt finish the way it should :$
