Off to Seville in Spain next week for 4 nights jolly with the better half, taking my kit and hoping for a reasonable amount of time to get some images taken.
Main question is, has anyone been, and if so any advise would be really appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation .... Dave

i've been.. its really pretty and nice.
i cant be much more help than that because i have no idea where in seville i went :) but there was a very nice palace there with lots of photo opportunities.
and if you run out of ideas you can drive south to the old town of cádiz

here it is

the photos in that article dont do it justice

but there are plenty of pretty places in Seville.. its very much one of the prettiest place in spain

Get yourself a CPL as it can look quite barron after a long dry summer, helps punch things up a little.

You will not be disappointed. It is in my opinion the most beautiful city in Europe.

My 3 favourite places to visit are. The Maria Luisa Park, The Old Town of Santa Cruz and The Cathedral of Sevilla.

I am at this point slightly envious.

Dave... A little practical advice about the area in general. Before you go, work out what money you think you will need, and then double it.

Food and drink is incredibly expensive - last month I was paying 3 euros for a can of diet coke, 5 euros for a hamburger, 5 euros for a large beer etc. etc. It soon adds up!

But on the photography front..... you can't fail. Have a great time and post up some shots when yu get back.

HERE'S SOME I DID EARLIER

Went there earlier this year, as said above great place but very expensive especially with the falling pound-euro rate.

At least digital photos are pretty much free.

Good advice, but

He's only going for 4 days and he is going with his GF, hope he is not going for the coke and hot dog's

I've got a whole load of photos that I still haven't got round to processing from Seville - awesome city, and plenty of togging to be had. I got a good one of a street perfoming flamenco dancer, and some belters in the Alcazar (which is well worth visiting, and better than the cathedral imo).

The tapas isn't too bad in price, just head away from the sights a bit. There's a big square nr Calle Peral (forget the name of it) in the Almeda? district which has plenty of cheap(er) eats and drinks, and is bouncing on a hot weekend evening!! :D

Many thanks for everyones replies, as they say , forewarned is forearmed ...Have pretty much sorted my camera bag out , better get a few more memory cards, just in case, and by the sound of it , quickly sell a kidney.
