SHADE COVER

I did see a video tip were someone used a cardboard tube from a toilet roll as a shade.


May be of some use? :)

Cut it down, cover with some black or carbon fibre effect tape and "the job a good un" :D
 
Can't see how the fold out do-da would do anything that shading the screen with your hand wouldn't. Might be a silly question but have you got the screen brightness on full?
 
The lcd on the mark 1 is good for nothing in bright conditions, fortunately the above suggestions should help.
