Shanti Stupa in Leh was a gift from the japanese buddhists to ladakh, stands overlooking the town of Leh. was lucky enough to help repaint some of the icons on the side. only because our travel guide was a monk who we had met on a 48 hour bus ride when we was in India previously we had kept in touch via email and then arranged to visit him and his family was an amazing experience

yeah that was the only place i didnt manage to get a photo from which is a bit of a shame as the lines on the paving would have led you straight to the stupa
