ive started taking images in raw and just wondered what is the best programme to use to sharpen the images as they seem blurred
thanks phil will give that a try
ive never installed the cannon software that came i simply use a multicard reader so should i install the supplied software?
RAW might look a bit soft but not blurred

or is it simply still out of focus
It looks like camera shake - probably due to slow shutter speed. Is that an anemone? If so it could well be subject movement that is the problem. Also is it shot through an aquarium? That won't help definition and contrast!
Even if you are on a tripod a slow speed like that could cause a blur if you didn't mirror up, use a timer etc etc. A slight mis-focus might also conspire to the result.
RAW processing won't rescue that one!
Phil
thanx phil
back to the drawing board then lol its not an anenome but 'similar' a hammer coral

i use a sigma 105mm

So why is it saying it was 238mm lens seting?
sorry
this pic was from
70-300 with macro setting and extra end lens cap to get 1.2
thanks andy
ive 'played' with manual focus i understand that it gives a sharper image when used correctly but am i correct in the image comes into focus when the red lights beep? ( like AF) as i have noticed there is a very fine line between in focus and out of focus
