Sharpening jpegs in camera (D7000)

I'm only shooting in jpeg at the moment until I update Photoshop Elements (I use version 5 which doesn't support the D7000's raw files) so is there a level of sharpening that people reccomend which would also be suitable for general photography? At the moment it's set to 3, but I don't want to overcook it.

Use the Adobe DNG convertor for Nikon RAW files - you can then import the .dng files into PS or Lightroom

You can always use Nikon's ViewNX to convert your raw files, it should have been on the disc that came with the camera, if not it is available as a free download from the Nikon site.
