sharpening pics?

so if you all remember my dilemma about shooting agility on a not so clever lens...?

well i did it and the pics are actually ok!! :) except the colour - they are very dark.... asi had to shoot darker, to get the speed of the dogs....

most came out good.... except i need to sharpen the pics up..

i use gimp... i am slowly brightening them up - they will never be perfect or what i consider perfect but its better than pure blurr (as most arnt blurry at all :) ) but im not sure 100% how to sharpen?

not bad for a beginner... now just editing?
 
trying that already... not thatt good but i'll have a play,

anything else that will have a massive affect - any other effects i can try?

Massive sharpening will just need to massively grainy images, as sharpening really just increases the contrast of adjacant edges, very slightly. And of course, adding contrast brings out the grain...
 
ahhh shame as some are really grainy.

they arnt good enough quality tbh as i wanted but i did ok by practisin with the camera and sometimes im not confident enough to just try things.....

roll on summer when i can go outside!!!! and do pics out there :D
