Sharpest (Best Quality) fixed lens compact?

Bought another Olympus E-PL2 to replace the NEX 5 (No decent AF lenses!) which was sold this week. When I got home I found the E-PL2 to be faulty so that will be going back next week. It's my 2nd E-PL2 and both have failed!

Anyhoo I'm thinking of getting the Ricoh GR3 as the image quality looks pretty good. What else would you recommend for up to £600? Can't afford the Fuji X100. Fixed lens of about 35mm (equiv) would be best.

what about the Sigma DP1X

Looking at DP1x now. Images are very good but horrible looking camera with poor AF speed and small low res rear screen. Not impressed with this one.

Images do look very good from the X11 but the camera looks horrible, really nasty but does feel good in the hand so that's out! The NX100 looks much nicer so I'll have a look at one of those although they are not highly rated in the reviews.

I have just found the Panasonic G3 which looks like it could be good. It's packed full of features and has a new 16Mp 4/3 sensor with new chip to reduce noise. It's also smaller than the G2 and just a bit bigger than the GF1 which I loved.
