With the nice weather on Saturday, I visited Garston Wood in the afternoon. Spring is definitely amongst us now, with lots of flowers showing, including the bluebell carpets, though the arium is not yet out.
I took some shots of the flowers, which I may post later, but my favourite shots of the day were of this Sheild Bug that I found in the shrubbery.
Both the shots below were taken at 1x mag F11 on my MPE-65mm. Diffused manual flash at 1/16th, if I recall correctly.

Would of liked to of got a beefly shot, particuarly the one that another photographer showed me on his camera, but they were too active for me today.
