shooting Kids

You don't need to be CRB checked as long as you're not going to be alone with the kids, if you did require a check then they'd have to sort it out as you can't CRB check yourself.

It may be worth getting the manager to write to the parents to let them know who you are and what you're doing so that they're prepared for someone taking images of their kids.

You dont need to be registered with anyone.. there are no rules other than the home club makes.. if they are asking you to photogrpah then just do it :)

You do not req a CRB to photograph children football matches. Thats a written in stone fact.

Don't forget to mention it to the away team as well, maybe offer them a collection of shots you take for their team as well, as a sweetener. Remember parents/guardians are quite rightly sensitive about cameras being used around their kids.

Seriously? They must be a bit funny down your way :).. do you get much hassle at junior sports? I get parents asking me where they can see the pictures nothing more...

Ok, perhaps rather than use the word "are" perhaps "can be" is a better term. I know I would want to know who was a at kids event taking pictures, so are other parents, I believe you should ask/inform before you start taking photos.

i wasnt picking on words :).. I was suprised at your comment.. I ahve been doing junior sports for many years without any problems.. I always make sure everyone is informed and no one ever has the reaction you describe... Hence why I was asking how much hassle you get at games.. seems strange and maybe a regional thing?

I've just seen 2 incidents, one at a cricket match one at a football match, basically both incidents were where nobobody was aware of who they were and therefore what they were doing at the event. One turned out to be a parent that nobody knew. My point is, as you do, is to inform/ask people first.
