Or: How to get huge prints of landscape photos using a camera with a low resolution sensor.
I use this technique a lot. My camera outputs files at a 16.1MP resolution, which means I can't print larger than roughly 30 x 40 cm. With Lightroom's great output sharpening, I can pretty much double that, but sometimes I just want bigger, don't we all? This simple, yet often overlooked technique is great for that.

This is an excellent guide, not many people realise the importance of holding the camera vertically..

Not a very photogenic subject but I shot it more as a technical exercise. The end image is 13017*6114 pixels!!
