Shooting tethered on a canon

Never done this before but fancy a go. Is it straightforward? I assume all you are doing is storing to the hard drive rather than a memory card or can you do both.

Dead easy yea. Just use the software that loads up when you connect a camera to the computer, EOS Utility. You can set in preferences whether it saves to the computer or both, and set a naming system, folders, etc.

You can control all the settings from the computer, or from the camera. If you have Liveview you can get that up on screen as well. All very nifty, and free. at Nikon
