Short term abroad camera insurance

Basically off to turkey very soon!

Can you get temp cover?
As being on holiday the camera may be in eye sight but not with me 100% time but I don't want to fork out over £100 for a years cover when I don't feel its needed + can't afford at this moment in time.

All items are coved by my bank beside my 7D as its over £500

Any comments would be fab

Hi Lewis, Had a quick word with my bank (travel cover with my card) was spoken to rudely so went else where. Ended up ringing them and making appointment for later today!

Haha! After speaking to my bank and being told the only way to cover over £500 is contents insurance! So will be checking on if I can temperature upgrade ours what we have or use my banks instead!

Try that. It's good having it all lumped together. Been abroad a few times recently and just let them know you're going and make sure you declare any items to them over £1.5k or w/e the individual item limits are with them.

If not, perhaps change your house insurance provider? As tbh going all in with house insurance isn't particularly more expensive than those who don't cover your personal items outside the home. Especially if you're accident prone or travel a lot it can be cheaper in the long run! :bonk:

Ended up getting standard + extened which should cover me for everything!
