Should a Hasselbald film magazine come with a 'take up spool'?

I have just received my Hasselblad 503CW and after looking at how to load the film it seems that i should have / need a 'take up spool' in the film magazine. Do they normally come with one from new or not and if so where do i get one?

Yep - they should come with one, but it's not unusual for mags to come without them. I dunno why - when you load a new film, you put the old empty film spool over onto the take up side and the film on the other. :shrug:

Unless yoiu can beg one from somewhere, you might have to sacrifice a roll of film to get one. See if you can beg any from your local camera shop, or a roll of well out of date film. If you're really struggling I might be able to find you one, but you need a minimum of one for each mag - obviously.

The should do but sometimes people either take them out of forget to put one in. Try asking LCE to see if they have any or as CT said any other local camera shops
