Should I upgrade my firmware?

I am relatively new to digi photography.
I own a second hand Canon 20d, which I am pleased with.
I have 18-55 IS Lens, 90-300mm zoom (just the bog standard cheap version and 28-105 Canon lenses.

My fware is something like 1.01 and the present version is 2.03 or similar.
Seaching round I have noticed my firmware is not up to date, should I update or should I not invite problems?

Maybe the maxim is if it aint broke.......

charge the battery up and update it. It can only fix a few minor issues, and slightly increase performance.

Firmware updates are generally done for a reason, check the firmware log to see what each update has changed - you may think 'it ain't broke' but in fact it might be without the update.
