any suggestions for good shoulder bags for a d3? carrying a 24-70 attached and an 80-200 as a minimum

ideally i'd like a top opening like the tenba messenger provides and not amazingly keen on lowepro but if they do the job then that'd be fine :)

I know you said your not keen but the lowerpro stealth reporter 450 aw i think it is fits my d2hs with 70-200 and a d200 gripped with a 28-70 in so will easily fit that gear.

I cant remeber if its the 450 or the 500 as its buried away somewhere at the moment :) its a top opening one and has the little zip for "quick" access but its useless for getting anything larger than a flashgun out of really

I asked this same question today (but D700+grip & 24-70) - Found this bag which was really good. Lowepro top loader PRO 75 AW.

dribbles a little at the retrospective....yeah looks good, let me know if you find anyone that stocks them

Hoppy,

Morris Photographic sell the Think Tank range and also Harrison Cameras. I have purchased from both companies and the service is good.

I am not sure whether you meant you could not find the exact bag or Think Tank in particular.

Hope this helps.

Paul

Paul, thanks for that - kind of you bud. But I know ThinkTank, used to have a TT Holster and liked it very much until I sold the big lens. Jacobs also stock them.

I'm going to the Focus show today and kinda hope they haven't got one of these Retrospective bags for sale, in case I'm feeling weak. Might have to get some matching shoes as well... :D

Went to Focus show and these TT Retrospective bags are very nice indeed :) They had all sizes on display, but not available until... June

yeah i found the same thing, ****ed me off a treat...you've got them here but you're not selling them?

*****.

I bought a DH50 and hated it. I sent it back for a refund. There is a review and pics here by someone else, plus my own remarks about my experience....

I do have a ThinkTank Urban Disguise 60, which will take a 1D3 and attached 70-200/2.8 IS or 100-400, plus a bunch of other gear. Access can be a bit tricky when it is slung around your neck as the opening is a bit snug at either end. If your camera is stored in the middle of the bag then no problem, but if you have two bodies with mounted lenses it is a bit of a fiddle. Big review here, again by someone else....
