Hi All,

Just a few show jumping pictures taken at a local village show. I rode a lot myself in my younger days (would love to take it up again actually!) but this was my first time attempting at photograph anything like this. C&C welcome - I took plenty of OOF shots and I know the below aren't great but I really enjoyed today and will probably try it again so all feedback to improve is welcome!

All taken with D60 and 55 - 200 AF-S VR lens:

Thanks for looking (y)

have you done much PP? look a little oversaturated?

Actually no - I did a little bit (crop / sharpen) but I didn't touch the saturation. Could it just be that it was about 10000 degrees and everything was very bright?

Just a few more - if anyone has any thoughts they are more than welcome:

I`m not a pro and rarely comment as I don`t feel particularly qualified to but fwiw I`d say watch the timing a bit, riders usually like shots of take-off and level over a jump rather than landing or nearly landing so maybe fire the button a fraction earlier, some you got the timing of just right [ pics 1 and 3 in the first batch ] so I`d say try more for those shots (y)

I think for your first time you've done well considering showjumping/sports is quite hard ( for me it was anyways ) I can't give you critique as I still learning myself

Thankyou both very much for taking the time to comment - I definately agree about the timing issue.
