Spent the day at a local country fair yesterday and quite enjoyed snapping away at the show jumping events, not anything I've done before but really quite enjoyed it and pretty pleased with some of the results. It was quite hard getting a nice clean shot without too much 'junk' in the form of fences, gates, people, portaloos, tannoy systems etc etc. I could/should have used a wider aperture to give me a better separation in some shots but I wasn't sure if I might end up only getting the front half of a horse in focus, this is where my amateur'ness shows thru. I think there are some good expressions on the faces of the riders in most shots all of which were taken with my Nikon D3300 and Tamron 70-300 lens.
