I currently have a Nikon D3000 with 18-55 kit lens and 55-200 lens shoved into a LowePro Adventura something or other which works really well in that it's compact and easy to take with me pretty much anywhere.

However, I'm about to buy some filters (P-series, polarisor and variable ND) and they just wont fit in my bag. I don't think i'm going to be getting much more kit for a wee while (maybe the odd filter but nothing too substantial.

What do you guys use or recommend for this sort of capacity? and if at all possible, can you show a pic of the bag loaded? My budget is not huge, maybe £30-40 tops

Many thanks

I have a GEM backpack, good quality for the money (£40) have loads of gear in mine, SLR body, bridge backup camera, 4 lenses, filters, flash, lots of other odds and ends, and it has a laptop pocket. Have a look here, they have some pics on their site. I believe the design is based upon the Lowepro Computrekker AW bag.

I had the Lowepro 200 slingshot before moving up the the 302 version just before christmas when amazon had an offer (£35 delivered) so had to have one.

I find that the larger 302 is brilliant for storage, I have my 400d with kit short telephoto, the 55-250 IS and a 50mm 1.8 in there, plus room for a set of extension tubes, sigma flash, angle eyepiece, 4 batteries, 3 screw on filters, 2 remote releases, a rain cover for the camera, torch etc etc.

However, I initially thought I'd sell the smaller bag but find that I tend to use the larger one when going out for specific shots and use the smaller one too for "about in the car" or off to town shots.

the 302 slingshots currently £52 on amazon but the 300 pro runner is just less than £40 currently there and looks like it has plenty of room too.

I like the look of those slingshot bags but i tend to wear my 1 strap bags across the other shoulder so the pocket would be facing the ground if i swung it round - not ideal.

I hadn't seen the GEM bags before but they look like the LowePro ones which i'm happy with. The one without the laptop bit is less than £30 on amazon at the moment. excellent.

Just put my Lowepro 220AW Sling on the classifieds (no it's not a selling pitch) but it has interior photos which may give you an idea of what you want

Cheers
