Shutter Count Nikon DSLR bodies

is there a web site that you can plug your camera into to get the shutter count

can this be done through the menu

Grateful for any help in this regard

I use a iMac …… Preview, then Tools ……… show Inspector …….. I don't see the number count?

does it work with .NEF and .jpg files?

Its there - when you open the inspector you have somes tabe, EXIF and NIKON are two I forget the others. Its on the NIKON tab. It works with NEF files and JPG if the info is present

Thanks Hugh - I see it , it is under image number on Exif tab

no Nikon tab on mine - I'm running Lion 10.7.5

Under the EXIF tab it's the "Image Number" and under NIKON tab it's "Shutter Count".

I'm running 10.7 too and I have the Nikon tab - I suppose it depends what software you have used to export the RAW.
