I think it just opens once to allow light on to the sensor so I think it should be one count per use of video. Might be wrong though and not sure how badboy gets two per live view.
Unless you're taking a crazy amount of short clips on a daily basis, I don't really think it would be much on an issue, unless you're talking about a camera a good few years old. Yeah I thought it's just once per liveview as well.
I don't do much video on any of my dslr's but I've seen a few posts on here recently where using Liveview can add 2 or sometimes 3 clicks to the shutter count. I'm looking at getting a 70D when they're released with the plans of doing more video work but I don't really fancy upping the count more than necessary, I might just have to borrow the wifes video camera instead.
Ah cool, just wondered! As there are loads of people that are buying DSLRs just to shoot video on. Wondered if it put more strain on the shutter mechinism holding it open for say an hour at a time.
