I have purchased a shutter release cable ( Hahnel) for my Nikon D90 camera which is 10 months old i have conected it to my camrea and cannot get it to work can any one tell me what i am doing wrong.
 
Used to have a D90 - so am going on memory.... Is there somewhere in the menu that you change to use the remote :shrug:

Just that I used to use the Nikon ML-L3 when I had mine - So am not quite sure on this Hahnel remote...
 
I would be surprised if there were some menu option or similar. Normally just plug and use. If it isn't working like that I would suggest it is faulty.
