Shutter Release Cable

Can anyone recommend a decent quality, cheap ******* release cable that can be set to take pictures over a period of time?

I'm thinking mainly for star trail photographs (ie taking lots of 30 second pics and stacking them)?

I have a Canon 500D so something that is compatible.

Yep. I have one. There are tons of them on eBay. They're usually under £20 and do everything you could reasonably want to do.. Here is one which appears to be essentially identical to mine, but there are many which are similar. Check compatibility with your camera before ordering.
