Shutter Release timer (D5100)

Hey guys,

Can any of you suggest a shutter release timer for my camera? I'm interested in trying to replicate some of the amazing long exposure shots I've had the privilege to see on here. I'm quite lucky i live on the coast and would like to try to do the "misty" seascape I've seen some of you create :)

Thanks in advance (I did do a quick search but nothing specific i could find for the d5100 or i'm just super blind :bonk:)

Thanks Graham, i actually took a look at this after i posted... I have the IR remote but like a numpty thought i'd have to hold it down for a specific period of time :/... Thanks again. Nope i do not have any ND filters just yet. I took a look at a thread on here in the tutorial section relating to the ND's so just figuring which ones to get.
