Using Canon 70d, after a wireless shutter release, would I be better off getting flash triggers that do shutter release aswell?
 
You can use a hanhl one ! Flash trigger or remote release! Or get the better hanhl one that's an intervalometer as well if you want to do time lapses or star trails
 
Not using it on a Canon but I do use the Yongnuo YN603 and find it very good. Was using it at about 70 ft away a few days ago with no issues.
 
Don't get a wireless they pack in just get one of the simple cable ones off amazon for £10 or so

Had not looked at Hanhel, will have a look
JYC have been looking at them
Yongnuo previously owned one for my 40D but it was shutter only
Not considered intervalometers side of it but will look into it
