siberian chiff chaff (close up and personal )

[the black fox]

popped along to the dee marshes today .expecting the fervour over the buff bellied pipit to have died down ,i was met with the site of circa 500 birders looking for it ,however i know where the siberian chiff chaff has taken up residence so went for that instead ..at times it approached so close it was within minimum focus distance .

my estimate yesterday was circa 500 ,i,m used to seeing hardly a soul when i,m down there normally in the winter .
