As this is "equipment" I've posted it here, although it may be better under another heading, I've been asked to recommend an adaptor for use on a Canon DSLR for copying a couple of hundred slides.

I wondered if anyone has tried this and with what results, my scanner doesn't have an adaptor mounting to perform this.

Anyone got any suggestions?

As the quantity of slides is quite substantial, I think getting an outside source to do this would be expensive?

Thanks,

George.

My experience FWIW, George.....

Slide copier attachment for a macro lens......usable for average detail shots (family snaps etc)
Slide copier attachment with built in optics.....abysmal.
Dedicated slide/neg scanner......slow (5-10 mins/slide) but decent results (mine's a Plustek OpticFilm 8200Ai)

Thanks, Bob, that looks a beast!!...with an equally large price tag!!

Perhaps the pro houses are the way to go?

George.

Up to 1000 slides/negs it's probably better/cheaper to outsource.
