Despite reading some articles about inconsistent results from this lens, I have just taken delivery of one. Shot landscapes using f11 so wouldnt you think I would get a good depth of field. Looking at the results I think distant objects are soft or out of focus. Has anyone had problems with this lens and what do I do about it if I think there is a problem:bang::bonk:
 
i had the very same problem, i know always pretty much shoot at f16 as does a mate (using his advice) and that seems to give me good results.
 
I've just got myself a 10-20mm too and I'm a bit confused by the focussing too. The distances in metres and feet in the focussing window don't seem to correspond to the actual distances between me and what I'm focussing on...
Not yet had chance to test how sharp things are...

I've actually noticed that my images taken look pretty awful on JPEG but when I load up the RAW image they seem ok, I think that the Sony DRO has made the photos softer than the lens has.

I'm not so sure that the Sony's DRO actually affects Raw files but I have mine switched off anyway as I was advised to do so a while back.

Where in the frame are you focussing?

Have you gGot an example to show us?
