Just received my new Sigma 105 macro lens, and I'm baffled as it has 2 hoods. One for crop sensor body's. Can anyone explain why this is? Do I need to use both when shooting on a 70D?
It's the because when the lens is used on a crop sensor camera the angle of view will be narrower compared to the same lens is used on a full frame camera.
I have this combo 105 and 70D. Must admit I tend to use just the one hood for macro. Both would be to much of a distance in front of the lens.
I have not found any issues using just the one hood.
