Sigma 120-300 and a tc

Fols, i have been using my Sigma 120-300 for severa years now with the Sigma 1.4tc on it about 90% of the time or more and love it like this. I have now got the chance of a Nikon x2tc III at a very nice price which is meant to be superb in IQ.Would the Nikon tc go on the Sigma 120-300 and has anyone used or tried this combo as i have only ever used the Sigma 1.4tc on it.
