Sigma 120-300 mm Lens cap

Hi all, i have a sigma 120-300 lens and anyone who as owned one of these will tell you that the lens 'cap' provided with this lens is a vinyl sleeve that fits over the reversed hood when transporting. That is a lot of glass to protect with just a piece of vinyl:shake: So i have been looking for a 105mm clip/snap on lens cap for added protection but have not been able to locate one. Can anyone point me in the direction of a retailer where i could obtain said lens cap. I've tried the various online sites but to no avail. Hoping someone who has bought one before or has one lying around the house and wants to get rid of can let me know.

Hi, if you have tried the net and sigma don't supply it with one may be one is not available, if not have a try to adapt something, we use 110mm plastic pipe caps and plugs are available, may be an answer. try http://www.hunterplastics.co.uk/catalogue/508/pushfit-soil.html

Check out Speed Graphic's web site they supply lens caps and may be able to get one that fits yours

Thanks Chappers, i've had a look but they don't go up to 105mm.
