I have one with a x2 converter. Without its superb and focus is almost instant. With its still fast and the image quality is good, much better than the xxx-500 sigma lenses I have used before. It's not on a par with the 300mm f2.8l canon, but for the money and zoom flexibility it's very, very good.

Excellent lens, I upgraded from a Sigma 150-500, and use it with both 1.4 and 2X TC's, manoverability is not a word I would use as it's pretty heavy, but unavoidable if you want f2.8. This is a crop from a 2X shot.
