I have the prior OS EX version. Do you know what the difference is between that and the new Sport version? (except the price of course!)

Sadly, I shall be selling mine soon. I can no longer manage to carry it about. I'm anticipating I may be asked what the difference is, so I'd love to know the true story.

Thanks for that. I use Focal software to test lenses but to properly test the 120-300 with my D800 requires more space than I have available so I never got around to it. Although now the weather is so settled, I might set up a test in the garden.

Lots of focussing issues reported with my model so perhaps the new lens, although optically identical, enjoys better QA procedures before they leave the factory?

i had one, and it lasted about 5 hours before it stopped focussing.
then i had it replaced and the second one has worked fine ever since.
